We are pleased to announce that our ISO rating for Westphalia Fire Protection District went from a 9 to now a 6. Insurance companies use ISO to rate the Fire service in an area. The lower your number usually reflects on the lower your property insurance is. This could lower your property insurance for your home and property as much as 30 percent. Most insurance companies will not be able to use the new rates until December 1, 2011. After this date make sure you check with your insurer to see about getting a better rate. This has been a process we have been working on for a while and hopefully will save the members of Westphalia Fire Protection District some money on their insurance.
